App will not connect to drone

I've tried many different times and the app consistently times out when retrieving configuration. I'm using a Pixel XL to connect and I'm using firmware version 1.5

  To verify that the firmware is updated correctly to 1.5, do you see the drone light up with one red light and one purple light when you plug it in?
