There's another thread about take-off issues and it a few people are reporting issues with the device veering off. Some people have tried my suggestions and are still having issues. We've replaced and refunded some of these units, but I've been posting test flights of these returned units from people who said they were experience this issue so I'm still unable to replicate it. Here's some information that might help:

    0) upgrade the flight board firmware (flybrix.com/upgrade), we are adding features and improving the system performance. The latest version 1.4 has feedback settings that are more responsive. These new settings should be loaded when you upgrade, but they are also transmitted when you update the configuration from the app.

    1) The system calibrates the gyroscope/accelerometer when arming, make sure to arm on a flat surface so that it correctly sets the horizon.

    2) Make sure all the propellers are blowing air downward instead of upward. The motors need to be plugged in with the correct polarity so that the white marks on the board align with the white marks on the connector. Also make sure that clockwise propellers are on the Red/Blue motors and counter-clockwise propellers are on the Black/White motor. Here are some helpful photos that we request from users to help us debug their issues (/pages/photos-for-debugging)

    3) If you are using a controller, make sure that the trims are set to the center value. The trims are the little buttons next to the joysticks and you will here it beep for longer when the trim is centered. The R/C Signals can also be monitored in our chrome configuration tool (flybrix.com/chrome) and should have values centered around 1500.

    4) Try out the sturdy quad build, I think it has better default performance since it is better balanced. It also doesn't crumble as easily

    5) consider swapping out motors. It's possible there may be broken motors that don't put out enough output. It's also possible the polarity marking may have been messed up.

Can you help me figure out how th monitor the R/C signal? I want to see if trimming yaw might help but I want to be sure I am seeing the inputs to the R/C controller you sent.

To be more specific, how do I connect the Flybrix Configuration Utility in Google Chrome to to the R/C and drone to monitor inputs and see what the trim inputs are?

Launch the configuration utility, connect the drone with a battery and a usb cable to your computer and the COM port of the drone should show up in the drop down. Select it and click connect. Popup the R/C signals tab and click the “live” checkbox. The graph should show you the R/C signals from the R415x. ~1500 is centered.

Hi @amirhirsch, can you please confirm that this looks okay? Screen Shot 2017-02-25 at 11. I am wondering what CH5 and CH6 are. Thanks in advance

Hi Yavor, That looks right. Channel 5 and Channel 6 are toggled by using the joysticks as buttons.
