Only 4 motors turning with octocopter

We got the quadcopter to work just fine with the rc controller. Reconfigured to the octocopter but only 4 of the motors will turn.

  Same here unfortunately. No matter how many times I change the configuration it's like it won't save.

  Same issue – the iOS app will not accept any changes from the quad. You can go into that tab and tap on hex or oct, but when you leave that page it just forgets and continues in quad setting only.
