Trying to fix broken wire – solder not melting
Can anyone tell me what temperature is needed to melt the solder that holds the wires for the battery. We had a wire break off and I thought it would be straight forward to re-solder it back in place but my SparkFun 937b soldering iron is not melting the solder on the board. I'm fairly certain the iron is working as it easily melts the solder I'm planning to use to reattach the wire.

Problem solved. A tip from a co-worker was to melt some solder onto the original solder ball that was not melting. What do you know, it all melted and the solder wick pulled it all away. within a few minutes I had a clean hole to connect the power line. I am now back to operational and uploaded version 1.4.0
